HTC launched flagship android smartphone namely One M9 Plus in India which is priced @ 49,900/-. It is available is White, Amber Gold and Silver Gold shades.
DESIGN, BUILD QUALITY & DISPLAY
The design of this phone is Great. It has a corning gorilla glass 3 on front and a brush alluminium finish unibody back and feels very good in hands. It is slim at 9.6mm and weighs 168gms. It has 5.2 inch FULL HD Super LCD 3 display of resolution 1440 x 2560 with 565 ppi. The viewing angles and sunlight legibility of the display is Great. It runs on HTC's Sense 7.0 User Interface. The display supports 10 multi-touch points and the brightness of the screen is great.
STORAGE, MULTIMEDIA & CONNECTIVITYS
It has 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable upto 128GB. The device features dedicated multimedia apps such as Zoe camera app stores all your images and has built video player as well as music player which stores and plays respectively which are very good. FM radio comes pre-installed too. Connectivities like 2G, 3G speeds upto 42.2mbps download & 5.76mbps upload, 4G speeds upto 150mbps download & 50mbps upload, Wifi a/b/g/n/ac, Wifi hotsopt, USB OTG as well as Bluetooth 4.1 .It also has IR blaster & NFC which is market dependent.
CAMERA & VIDEO RECORDING CAPABILITIES
It has a dual 20MP & 2.5 MP rear camera with autofocus and dual tone dual led flash which features Simultaneous image and video recording, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Image stabilization, HDR etc. The camera clarity is pretty good overall. Daytime the images are very good and has fine details respectively but in the night is where the noise starts to become more visible and to get better details at night HDR mode images with bit of steady hands helps to produce slightly better images n clarity is quite nice. It does Quad HD 2160p@30fps, Full HD 1080p@60fps & 30fps HDR & 720p@120fps video recording with video stabilization and stereo sound having bit-rate of 34mbps & 16-17mbps for 60fps n 30fps respectivelyand stores in mp4 format. The video recording clarity is very good overall. Daytime the video clarity is great and has fine details respectively but at night video clarity is quite nice could have been better. It also has a 4MP (1/3inch sensor) front camera for selfe's which does 1080p video with HDR and clarity is very good.
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS
It runs Android (OS) 5.0.2 Kitkat out of the box. It has a Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64-Bit SOC running an octa core processor clocked at 2.2 GHZ (ARM Cortex A57 Architecture) with 3GB RAM and PowerVR G6200 (550 MHZ single Core) GPU. The performance is great which provides number of graphic intensive games and multitasking run quite well and there is no magor lag at all but noticeable at some cases as due to the optimization of this new processing chip .
